Skydive Cape Town Tour
What to expect
On the way up in the aircraft to your tandem skydive, the view is breathtaking. To the south, the city bowl lies sandwiched between towering Table Mountain and bustling Table Bay harbour. Further south, and to the far side of the mountain, lies False Bay, Hout Bay and the splendour of the south peninsula as far as Cape Point. To the west, you will spot Robben Island and the Atlantic Ocean breaking on the beautiful Cape West Coast, as famous for its icy water temperature as it’s mouth-watering crayfish. To the north, the Langebaan lagoon, a great kitesurfing and windsurfing venue.
Skydiving is the one item that features on almost every bucket list. At Skydive Cape Town, our dedicated staff and internationally qualified tandem masters are on hand to make your skydiving dream a reality. There’s no better way to experience Cape Town than in freefall. Go on – take the plunge!
Following the adrenaline pumping skydive experience, we ease into the rest of the day. The West Coast is the quintessential ‘road less travelled’ and we take a slow cruise along the route to see all its beautiful stops along the way.
Our next stop along the route is Groote Post. A historic 18th century farm where the unique aspects and cool climatic conditions of the Darling Hills yield superlative grapes and excellent wines. Part of the famous West Coast Flower Route, they also offer spectacular nature walks as well as game drives. Excellent food is available either at Aunt Hilda’s Restaurant or as a delectable picnic to be enjoyed on the lawn.
From there we head to the The West Coast National Park, which stretches from Yzerfontein to Langebaan, a pristine nature reserve which offers an array of activities such as bird watching, game sighting, biking and whale spotting. Avid birdwatchers can spot over 200 species of land and sea birds, and game includes springbok, kudu, gemsbok and the rare mountain zebra.
Our last stop for the day is visiting the !Khwa ttu San Cultural and Educational Centre.
The centre offers a fascinating insight into the culture, heritage, knowledge and modern-day life of the original inhabitants of the West Coast and tours by qualified San guides demonstrate their unique skills and share their ancient knowledge.
