January, what a month you have been! As we rolled into 2019 we were so fortunate to have shared incredible experiences with our guests. Wayne and I have been on the road pretty much since New Years Day and can honestly say Cape Town is on everyone’s bucket-list of places to experience! With tourists flocking in to all the usual hot spot attractions, we decided to spice things up a bit and go visit some hidden gems around the Cape!

I had the pleasure of hosting guests who were not so keen on crowds and absolutely loved birding and fascinated with birds of prey. As part of a Full Day tour of the Cape, I decided to take them to Eagle Encounters. http://www.eagle-encounters.co.za A wildlife rehabilitation, conservation, education and eco-tourism center at Spier Wine Farm Stellenbosch. This amazing experience forwarded the guests the opportunity to enjoy personal encounters with some of the bird species and watch their interactive flying show.

From there we made our way to a popular wine estate, with heir own display of really cute birds! Vergenoegd on the R310 in Stellies is known for their Indian Runner Duck Parade. This fascinating farm uses over 1000 ducks to assist with snail and pest control of their vineyards! https://vergenoegd.co.za/about/the-duck-parade/

We will be sure to share some more of our fun experiences with you! So much to take in and enjoy in this wonderful destination we get to call home! #lovecapetown #thisissouthafrica
